The "Tășuleasa Social" Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) collects personal data from users through the website maraton.viatransilvanica.com for the purpose of registering individuals for the Via Transilvanica Marathon and facilitating their use of the services provided by the Association. Data registration is done through the online platform https://register.42km.ro. More information can also be found in the Terms and Conditions section.
In accordance with Law No. 190 of July 18, 2018, regarding measures for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, which guarantees the protection of individuals' rights to private, family and personal life, the Association is obliged to collect and manage the personal data provided by users at the time of registration as participants in the marathon, on maraton.viatransilvanica.com only for the purposes specified in this document.
Participants have the right to intervene on the personal data provided to the Association, which includes the participant's right to object to the processing of personal data by the Association and the right to request the deletion of all information about the user from the Association's database.
The information collected
At the time of completing the registration form as a participant on the Association's website and the https://register.42km.ro platform, the user will be asked for personal data, such as: the category they are participating in, name, surname, gender, address, city, country, shirt size, email address, and phone number.
Of this data, only the information regarding name, surname, gender, event, and city will be made public, for the purpose of identifying and locating the person, to facilitate communication with other users of the Association's website and the marathon organizers.
The collection and use of personal data
The Association collects personal information from users only for managing the database of participants and for improving the quality of the marathon services organized by the Association.
Registering as a participant on the Association's website and thereby providing personal data implies the user's implicit consent regarding the collection and use of personal data by the Association.
Access to data
Access to the personal data provided by users is limited exclusively to the employees of the Association and the marathon organizers, who are specifically designated for the collection and management of such data. The employees of the Association and the marathon organizers will respect the confidentiality of all personal data of users they come into contact with.
The disclosure and transmission of information
The Association will not rent, sell or transfer personal information of users to other people or to other companies that are not affiliated with the Association. The Association may provide such information to partner or affiliated companies with which it has confidentiality agreements. These companies may use the personal data of users provided by the Association only for the purposes and campaigns initiated by the Association, in which these companies are partners or sponsors, but they do not have the right to retransmit or provide it to other entities or individuals.
The Association will disclose personal data of its users only under the following conditions:

If it is not desired for children to use the information from the Association's website, parents or guardians can send a request message to the Association's staff, specifying the prohibition of access to the Association's website for the respective minor user.
The modification and deletion of data
Users have the option to modify the personal data provided at the time of registration on the Association's website.
Additionally, users can, at any time, request the Association to delete their registration form, withdrawing from participation in the competition.

The Association reserves the right to make changes or updates to the Privacy Policy at any time.
Major changes to the provisions of this Privacy Policy will be communicated to participants through an announcement made on the main pages of the website.
Continued use of the website by marathon participants will constitute their agreement to the changes made.
