These regulations apply to the Via Transilvanica 5.0 Competition, taking place on August 22, 2026, organized by the Tășuleasa Social Association, and are effective starting January 15, 2026.
Dear athletes, we would like to inform you about several important aspects regarding registration and validation for the Via Transilvanica Marathon competition. Registration is available exclusively on our website, via the 42 km platform.
Athletes who register must validate their registration by paying the participation fee for the chosen event within 3 calendar days. Failure to do so will result in the registration being invalidated and deleted. One additional registration attempt will be possible after this stage, provided validation is completed within the specified timeframe.
Competitors who, for various reasons, can no longer participate in the Via Transilvanica Marathon may exercise their legal right of withdrawal within 14 days from registration.
Before the withdrawal period expires, the registered competitor must inform the organizer of their decision to withdraw from the contract.
For this purpose, the competitor may choose one of the following options:
a) use the withdrawal form template provided in Part B of the Annex to Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014;
b) submit any other unequivocal statement expressing the decision to withdraw from the contract.
The withdrawal statement must include the bank account from which the participation fee was paid and/or the account to which the refund is requested. The statement must be sent by email to maraton@viatransilvanica.com
The Organizer will confirm receipt of the withdrawal request on a durable medium without delay. Within 14 days from receiving the withdrawal notice, the Organizer will refund the full participation fee paid by the competitor.
